Pilot II

Sabah al Khair!

I meant to keep this blog to document my experiences in Meknes, Morocco. However, I did not find the time to maintain a blog while there. My study abroad experience with the Flagship program was a success in few ways. However, my time there ended much earlier than planned.

Life happens, lessons were learned. Inshallah I will make some sporadic posts about Meknes still.

Anyway. I am back in Amman now.

Ever since landing in Amman two years ago I knew it would be a special city to me.

I have been here for almost a month now. I arrived Dec 27th, 2016. That's exactly two years from my first arrival in Amman - which held much more excitement and anticipation. This time I felt relieved and thankful to be back in Amman. I am thankful for many things everyday that I am here. I will begin to elaborate on these things later in the blog.

First, I am thankful for my mother who always supports me in anyway possible. Too many ways to list.

Second, I'm thankful for my grandmother in the role she played in this.

Finally, I'm thankful to be a recipient of the Gilman Scholarship to support me in my studies in Amman. Being awarded the Gilman scholarship felt like I had come full-circle in my study abroad journeys.

I have committed myself to making the best of my time here as I owe it to myself, and to the people that have supported me.
